The latest build of hidpoint i.e 90605 does support linux mint 7. Please click here for further information.

I know, but sadly my Mint7 x64 stops during boot if hidpoint is installed.

There is a new version of HIDPoint which supports the newer kernel versions along with a number of bug fixes. Please download the latest version from here and let us know if you run into any issues.
