Will you have a version of hidpoint that supports Ubuntu 8.04 2.6.24-19 soon?

I too would like to see 64 bit support. Tried it on my 64bit and the installer quits after prompting for password without any error message.

Support for Ubuntu 8.04 (Kernel 2.6.24-19) and 64 bit kernels should be available in next HIDPoint Build. (Before the end of this month if everything goes well).

We are working on a bunch of installer changes such as

- Provide users with better feedback during the installation and make installs go a lot more smoother.
- Provide users with the ability to download updates rather than reinstall the product.

We are also expanding the number of supported distros and kernels in addition to smp and 64 bit kernel support.

I'll update this post as soon as I have more information.

Thanks for your patience!

By now this month has gone bye without a release supporting Ubuntu 2.6.24-19.
Is there a new date for the release?

HIDPoint Build 80922 now supports all Ubuntu 8.04 kernels (including 2.6.24-19-generic). Please download the latest build and give it a try.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do.

Does this mean that 64bit is supported as promised?
