Ubuntu 8.04 64 bit has a couple of issues to be resolved. We should be able to post an update in a week's time. We tried to get the 64 bit into this build but ran out of time.

I'm using kernel 2.6.24.19-generic, with the newest version of hidpoint, and i get an 'unsupported kernel version' I get an error now atleast, before it was just a quiet subtle failure. I'm hoping to see this working very soon!


Edit: I was mistaken. I got the newest version form the site and it now works. Thanks!

Cool! So you are able to install hidpoint?

If you do run into any issues with hidpoint after the install, please use the Report an Error menu in the UI to submit the error. The error report will contain most of the information we will need to troubleshoot.

After following the instructions, I can't install because it is asking for the following dependency:

./hidpointsetup: error while loading shared libraries: libpng.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

So I'd like to know what I need to add to an up-to-date Ubuntu 64bit, and also if this is true that a dependency is required, you might want to update some of the site-text claiming this is not true. (Been looking forward to this release for a long time already!)
