HIDPoint is distributed as a self extracting package.Users do not need any additional software to extract or run the installer.
HIDPoint has a extremely user friendly wizard based GUI Installer and Uninstaller that make installing and removing the software a breeze.
HIDpoint's universal installer simplifies installation on multiple Linux Distributions.
Though the installer can be launched in user mode, the installer needs root priviliges to install and configure certain system components.
HIDPoint's installer is capable of installing any third party rpm packages.
HIDPoint has been designed for cross platform compatability. The same binaries work on different flavors of Linux.
One of the most common problems users face when installing software is figuring out the dependencies and installing them in the right order. HIDPoint does not require you to either install any dependencies nor compile any programs / kernels.
HIDPoint drivers work only on the Linux 2.6 kernels.
HIDPoint UI has been developed to make the end user experience as simple as possible.
HIDPoint supports Plug and Play of devices. Devices are detected as soon as they are plugged in or removed.
HIDPoint is launched automatically when a user logs in and runs in the System tray.

Magnifier is cool utility that magnifies the area under the mouse cursor. Users will be able to configure the size, shape and magnification factor.
This is similar to the Mac Exposé feature and is being enhanced.
An on-screen display (abbreviated OSD) is an image superimposed on a screen picture, commonly used by modern televisions, VCRs, and DVD players to display information such as volume, channel, and time. HIDPoint displays OSD when any action is perfomed.

HIDPoint allows user to configure the Actions/Handlers available. Users have the ability to restrict the handlers available for them to configure.

The drivers are compatilble with both 32 Bit Uniprocessor and SMP architecture.
