Hello:

Try these command.
$ sudo mkdir /usr/lib32
Then, try to install the HIDPoint it will prompt for missing libraries, then install missing libraries using YAST software management.

Let us know if you face any issues.

Thanks,

Hello

I'm trying to install hidpoint on opensuse 11.2 but I can't get ia32 bit package. So what is the libraries that are required to be installed in order to get it work.

Note: I tried to convert debian package but I run into troubles as opensuse version newer than debian one and I run into dependency . conflict problems.

Is there a solution for this problem thanks..

Got onto this software from a search on the logitech page, very impressed...

However I can't get it to accept my mouse, or find it if I choose auto. Its a MX revolution, but I'm not using the usb dongle for bluetooth, but the internal bluetooth in the laptop, running ubuntu 10.04 which recognises the mouse.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

I am on Ubuntu 10.04 64bit with kernel 2.6.32.9.

Now, support table says "2.6.32-22" but there is no such kernel version. The newest 2.6.32 is 2.6.32.15

Can someone elaborate?...

Your command worked fine but then I've done these: ~/Downloads$ sudo apt-get install ia32-libs

Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package ia32-libs
stuart@sapc271:~/Downloads$ sudo ./hidpoint1-0.bin

So I tried to install again, to see if this wasn't necessary...

Hello:

You can try creating the symbolic link
$sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libpng12.so.0 /usr/lib/libpng.so.3
and then try to install the HIDPoint.
Let us know if it fixes the issue....

./hidpointsetup: error while loading shared libraries: libpng.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

This appears even though I'm using 32 bit Ubuntu 10.04, which accoring to the FAQ should be a problem 64 bit users face. I've also tried a couple of the things from the FAQ which probably aren't related with no luck.

Help would be greatly appreciated,
thanks....
